This DeSoto Airflow was originally sold to a Dr. Francis E. Ling in April of 1934 by Louis Alyea Service, a DeSoto Plymouth dealer in Hebron, Indiana. The doctor owned the car until July 13, 1951, when he traded it in for another new vehicle at the same dealership. The dealer kept this old DeSoto until June 13, 1990, when he sold it to Robert Heikema of Jones, Michigan. We acquired the vehicle from Mr. Heikema on July 7, 2009. Indications are that the 1934 Indiana license plate number 673076 is the same plate issued to this DeSoto in April of 1934 and is on the vehicle today.
This AirFlow has been on display at the Gilmore classic car museum in Hickory corners , MI in the 1930's gallery since March of 2015.
